lord
let the spirit of gratitude
reach us and teach us today
let it lift us out of the fog of illusion
and understand a better way
to realize all the gifts we’re given
and see how blessed we are each day

let us be aware of the magnificence
of your creation on earth here
and bring us a way to see
the good in life eternally

let us be so very grateful
for what we have in our life
for every breath we take
and the gift of bread we break

I am so very blessed
for my loved ones and each friend
let your love guide me I pray
to say thank you God each and every day
