I look into the face I face
that is one with the energy
that the eye of God that creates
in the universe and this sacred space


in disbelief we waste our time
choosing to be less than the power
of love at the heart of the human race
that so often is lost in confusion
in the illusions that cover the truth
of living in this strange place


but here we live and breathe
and can focus on a higher reality
that prays for us to be free
of the fear that limits what we can be


so we face the face of God
and find what we are all made of
and we overcome the odds
and see that same face in those we love
all merged in one great cosmic song
