there are cries heard for connection
there is such a need for hope here so many souls searching for innocence in a world torn and full of fear there are pure hearts begging for redemption and a love that’s begging to be discovered and seen but these days trust is hard to come by and the cynic’s wall is high and mean and a ridiculous price is put on building it til it shuts down our country and there are cries heard in the world for good to be restored and so many who wish to make things right and for freedoms flags to be unfurled and the Statue of Liberty still holds up her torch and there are those who kneel pray to let her light guide our way and hope holds a sacred fire that burns so eternally bright that even through the darkest night there is the power of light and if around our country we could find the faith to call upon the good in us Hope will guide our way
