There are these glimpses of love I see
blossoms of love eternally
rainbows captured on dark cloudy days
so many blessings that come our way

Yet I see the thorns as well
so careful we must be
In the way we reach
out to freely give
this expectation of others to see
the exquisite beauty
in heart where we live so secretly

and as time moves on
how we hold on to each
precious memory of love now gone
shadows living in the menagerie
of this creation of endless dreams

Snapshots of memories hidden
yes still cherished
in a smile of recognition
while needing a little more of living

so there’s a prayer for strength
to be a blossom of light
to hear the song of our soul
smiling back from the great unknown

and God you always reminds us
there’s always more
just waiting to be given and taken
as a gift offered when we say yes
to able to believe in love
we can indeed be healed
and offer up our life and needs
to understand what it means
to be human and be redeemed
