how do stars communicate
except through Invisible footprints
we follow in the hollow of our soul
where we find the space
that leads us to find
that same trace of life
speaking through spirits spiral
that dances through the Dreamtime
where one day recognize ourselves
in the jet trails left by the human race


so I look up to the sky
and try to remember why
I chose to come to this place
looking for the den
of those ancient tenants
left light years before
hidden in some secret placel


so let me look up to the heavens
and listen for your song
let me remember what i came here
and where I originally came from


and if I miss my home on high
as I often do
you’ll whisper the words I need to find
to remind me how to follow
the secret footprints in the sky
where I know we will meet again
in the sweet bye and bye
