along the banks of the river of life
the roots of the ancient tree
finds the holy water
that reaches up to eternity


let me bathe in your waters
and cross to the other shore
to let my soul drink from your fountain
and return for more


deep is the the water from the well
where that amazing grace compels
us to quench that thirst
from the place where love does dwell


there is this heavenly light
that dances through the translucent surface
as it pours forth life
to all along the shore


oh to find that source
of the sacred spring
that nourishes all the flowers
found in the mountains and the deserts floor


oh you are the rain
that blesses the earth
after the long drought is over
and brings that promise of rebirth


you are the sacred fountain that sings
in heavens garden divine
with the baptism it brings
when we drink from your holy spring


let me dive in your ocean
let me purify my mind
let me speak of devotion
and be drenched as I dive
deep in the blessings of your love
that quenches the thirst for all life
